SUMMARY

The CLT Delivery Technician is responsible for assisting in the Energy Department to ensure successful operations including delivery, installation, maintenance, special projects, and excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Includes the following and other duties may be assigned.)

Responsible for:

  • Timely & efficient delivery of bulk/packaged lubricants, DEF, and other ancillary products to Ag Partners Coop and Cenex® Lubricant Terminal (CLT) customers.
  • Assisting with delivery of agronomy products as needed to Ag Partners customers as well as transferring products between cooperative locations.
  • Assist with setting up routes and schedules to deliver lubricant and energy products.
  • Packaging of oil products at warehouse to ensure efficiency in loading truck and optimizing routes.
  • Maintaining customer sales tickets & records in route book and truck log per DOT regulations.
  • Operating vehicles, large trucks, forklifts, and other equipment in a safe manner and maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Assisting in repairs on company bulk refined fuel tanks, bulk propane tanks, and Cardtrol fuel dispensers as needed to ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Working closely with energy sales staff to coordinate and ensure that customer-ordered products are scheduled and delivered as needed.
  • Ensuring completion of new customer installations of DEF systems and bulk oil totes.
  • Assisting in inventory control, including but not limited to: fuel tanks, propane tanks, oil totes, tank and tote accessories, bulk and packaged lubricants, bulk and packaged DEF, grease, and ancillary products.
  • Assisting the Energy Operations Manager & CLT Division Manager in prepping for bulk and packaged lubricant orders.
  • Assisting the Energy Operations Manager in developing and implementing maintenance, repair, and housekeeping programs to be used on energy department facilities, equipment, and tools.
  • Assisting with Energy Department special projects, as required.
  • Performing general housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring appropriate steps are taken to accomplish the security of products and facilities.
  • Prompt and regular attendance required with a clean and professional appearance.
  • Providing excellent customer service by leading through difficult or emotional situations, responding promptly to customer needs, resolving questions, complaints, and concerns immediately, and meeting commitments.
  • Ensuring flexibility of schedule when additional time demands are required.
  • Working with other cooperative staff across locations to ensure cooperative goals are met.
  • Maintaining and promoting safety awareness; following safety policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Adherence to safety policies and providing safety leadership.
  • Promoting and adhering to the company Core Values of honesty, integrity & teamwork.
  • Must be willing to perform other duties as directed including, but not limited to, working at other locations as requested.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Previous experience related to energy, fertilizer, chemicals, seed, and/or farm supplies is preferred but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the cooperative.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and weights.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS

Commercial Driver’s License Class A with Haz-Mat, Airbrake, and Tanker Endorsements and/or the ability to obtain and maintain.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
