Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

The Lutheran Home is looking for full-time team members to join us in the role of Certified Nurse Aide. This can be a rewarding career providing direct care and support to our residents while working alongside other experienced nursing services staff within our health center. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Answer residents’ calls and take appropriate action.
• Assists with daily personal care functions.
• Assists with the feeding of residents.
• Assists in turning and positioning of residents.
• Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention as indicated on the care plan.
• Perform skin checks and notify the nurse of any abnormalities in skin integrity.
• Helps keep residents’ rooms clean and supplied.
• Make/change beds (unoccupied and occupied).
• Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance.
• Weigh residents using upright, chair and mechanical lift scale.
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment (cane, walkers, mechanical lifts, side rails, brace, splint, oxygen).
• Communicates residents' requests or concerns in a timely manner.
• Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident’s conditions or incidents to the nurse.

In this full-time position you will enjoy a set 2-week schedule with every other weekend off, working 7 out of 14 calendar days. We are hiring for our day shift working the hours of 6:45 am - 7:15 pm. As a full-time team member, you can take part in our many benefits including:

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18
• Current Missouri CNA License
