What will I be doing on a regular basis? Our installation team works with their hands, equipment, and power tools, installing lightning protection (as in lightning rods) on commercial buildings to protect the people and equipment inside the building in the event of a lightning strike. We climb ladders, work on boom lifts, and walk on the edge of buildings using our fall protection safety equipment, so if you are not ok with heights then this job may not be for you. Each day, we provide a vehicle (you must have a valid driver’s license) for you to drive from the shop to the job site daily with your co-workers. This work includes traveling to different construction and building sites in the area, which may be a day trip, or an overnight trip. When you are out of town, CLP pays for your hotel and a per diem. You pay for your meals, and then the following week get reimbursed $51/day even if you only spent $20.

Physical Demands: Strength, stooping, crawling, hearing, color vision, climbing, kneeling, depth perception, balancing, lifting 70 to 100 pounds, digging, hammering, trenching, sitting while driving, traveling overnights occasionally

Work Environment: The environment on a regular basis is in the construction field, in the hot and cold weather. We strive to be sure our team knows we recognize how hard they are working and try to recognize that at all times. When coming into the office we try to have a more relaxed work environment so that we can get to know each other on the team outside of work.
