Job Description

Operations Coordinator works on the details and the framework of the ministry to ensure staff, families and volunteers are well cared for. This includes: helping new staff complete their new staff checklist of training and paperwork; assisting in details for all events as needed. They will create registrations for events through Ministry Platform. The operations coordinator will make sure new volunteers and new families have filled out the proper paperwork, that their information is updated in Ministry Platform. They will make all room and resource reservations across ministries and events through espace. The operations coordinator will be responsible to complete all expense reports through concur and help maintain the budget of the ministry. They will also assist in organization of ordering supplies and materials needed and in organization of yearly events and schedules. In addition, the operations coordinator will help keep MBC website and eNews up-to-date with all Access related events and promotions. Hourly position: 20 hours/wk.

Duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions)

The following items describe some of the ways this individual will accomplish this task:

  1. Living an exemplary Christian life by pursuing daily devotions, Scripture memory, and opportunities to share faith. Fully involved in McLean Bible Church
  2. Manage Concur expense management and eSpace
  3. Manage registrations for Respite and Friendship Club socials
  4. Manage the website, enews, yearly calendar and social media
  5. Promote events, Night to Shine,. VBS, family retreats
  6. Regular communication and collaboration with ADDP team members
  7. Attend staff meetings and All Access meetings
  8. Support and participate in all Access-wide events
  9. Other duties as assigned by the ADDP Lead Coordinator

Qualifications

  • Previous experience (2 to 3 years) working with people with special needs.
  • Previous experience managing staff and volunteers
  • BA or BS degree required
  • Able to recruit and develop teams to fulfill the mission of MBC.
  • Passion for serving the church.
  • Active McLean Bible church member

    1. Assist in communication and leadership of ADDP staff, volunteers, caregivers, parents and participants

    1. Plan activities, lessons on daily living skills, bible lessons, spiritual growth and community outings.

    1. Provide teaching, direction and training for program participants.

    1. Regular communication and collaboration with ADDP team members

    1. Attend staff meetings and All Access meetings

    1. Develop and maintain safe, clean, aesthetic learning environments.

    1. Collaborate across ADDP locations

    1. Support and participate in all Access-wide events

    1. Other duties as assigned by the ADDP Lead Coordinator

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience working with people with special needs.

    • Previous experience managing staff and volunteers

    • BA or BS degree required; divinity degree desirable

    • Able to recruit and develop teams to fulfill the mission of MBC.

    • Passion for serving the church.
