Salary:

WWCM has an opening for an experienced Research Psychologist. The Research Psychologist will be responsible for supporting cyberpsychology initiatives involving the impacts of human factors, cognitive vulnerabilities and the ability to adequately protect critical systems and sensitive information from cyber-attacks. Data serves to facilitate and support improved future-state software design, development and implementation methods.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Uses analytical and technical skills to study cyber attacker cognitive vulnerabilities, external manipulation features, models and behavior.
  • Discovers unknowns and research functions and how biological factors, cognitive vulnerabilities, bias sensors, bias triggers, and sensor triggers sets impact the cyberpsychology objective.
  • Interviewing participants in research studies to learn about their experiences  
  • Conducting research on topics such as the internet, social behavior and social media impacts on cybersecurity
  • Analyzing data and publishing findings in professional journals
  • Interpreting data collected by other researchers and providing feedback on the research methodology used in the study
  • Participating in clinical trials to determine effectiveness
  • Conducting psychological assessments of research participants
  • Conducting research
  • Consulting with businesses, schools, and other organizations
  • Writing grants to secure funding for research projects
  • Supervising research assistants and interns
  • Maintaining confidentiality of clients’ treatment and records in accordance with HIPAA
  • Maintaining professional licensure
  • Participating in clinical training seminars and mentoring assistant psychologists, psychology students, and interns on-site
  • Working towards positioning WWCM as a pioneer in supporting cyberpsychology mission critical opportunities

 

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in psychology or related field
  • Psy.D. in clinical psychology is required to earn a license to practice
  • 5+ years of experience conducting psychological research
  • Proven track record of publishing research in peer-reviewed journals
  • Strong understanding of research design, methodology, and statistical analysis
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Desired:

  • Completed courses in research methods, statistics, experimental design, research ethics and research design
  • Complete a supervised internship in a research setting
  • Comprehends how to use the computer programs and software necessary for research
  • Experience working with human subjects
  • Experience with grant writing and funding applications
  • Teaching experience at the college level
  • Is proficient in multiple languages
