Dynamic Pro, Inc. (DPI) is currently providing a broad range of support to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), and are seeking to add a CAD Technician to our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Work with computer CAD systems, creating, modifying, and releasing detailed layouts, technical drawings, and word drawings for functional use in accordance with CADD standards from drawings, sketches, scanned images, and client drawings.
  • Provide support to the WMATA Communications management team, as requested.
  • Support Director of Communications Engineering in new and ongoing CAD tasks;
  • Support systems design and rehabilitation efforts with CAD drawings as specified.
  • Prepare design documentation in the form of CAD packages for contractor teams in full compliance with all WMATA CAD Standards;
  • Prepare as-built drawings
  • Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other CAD staff in order to create and revise drawings in accordance with project specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in and knowledge of CAD, preferably with knowledge of WMATA's CAD standards.
  • Previous experience developing CAD drawings related to CCTV and fire detection systems a plus.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in the rail/transit industry.
  • Knowledgeable of drafting software for creating 2D and 3D computer drawings.
  • Possess strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
