Peer Recovery Support Job Description
Unique opportunity to join Maryhaven, Central Ohio’s largest and most comprehensive behavioral services provider specializing in addiction recovery. We are looking for skilled, talented, and compassionate people to join our team! Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor of the Opioid Treatment Program, The Peer Recovery Supporter’s role is to support others in recovery from a substance use disorder. They will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to recovering individuals on medication-assisted treatment, to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. The Peer Recovery Supporter must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships. The Peer Recovery Supporter will act as a clinical support within the department, assisting in the functioning of the clinic and being highly involved in the day-to-day operations of the program. They will be responsible for clinic coverage on a regular basis, including assisting with clinical services, UDS screens, and case management as necessary.
Peer Recovery Support Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter (APS) in the State of Ohio required.
