About this job

Harborside Veterinary Care is a new clinic in town looking to devote as much energy to bringing high quality care to our animal patients as we are to cultivating a great work place atmosphere for our staff. We get to start fresh. We are focusing our start-up time in developing the foundations to support you. This includes good training practices, support along the path of your development and creating built in rewards over time for the work you do everyday. We are consciously choosing the tools (i.e. practice management software) that will aim to make your job easier and streamline efficiency. The owner veterinarian has worked at some point in time as a receptionist, assistant and performed the duties of a surgical technician. There are frustrations inherent to all these positions that can affect job satisfaction and we are here to try and minimize them.

We're looking to grow with you. There isn't necessarily "experience" required. We are looking for someone who finds enjoyment conversing with clients, navigating new systems & technology and wants to look for solutions to new challenges. Asking questions at first is to be expected, and then showing initiative in your role will be key. We all start somewhere. As is natural in this job, phone/communication skills, animal handling and team cooperation are vital.

Please apply if you are interested in finding out more information. Only serious inquiries appreciated. Animal people and those attracted to this profession, are some of the best caliber of human beings. We want to cultivate a small group that will show up and be present each day for one another. Come join our team.
