ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled School-based Physical Therapist to join our team in Wimberley. As a leading provider of therapy services in educational settings, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse needs. Overview:

  • Part Time
  • 2 Days a Week
  • 16 Hours Per Week
  • Start: As Soon As Possible
  • End: May 31, 2024

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments for students with various disabilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student goals and needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated services.
  • Deliver effective therapy interventions to address motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and mobility.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
  • Offer guidance and support to teachers and staff in promoting optimal physical development and inclusion.
  • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and developments in the field of physical therapy.

Requirements:

  • Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measure progress.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
  • Compliance with state and federal regulations regarding student confidentiality and privacy.
