ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled School-based Physical Therapist to join our team in Wimberley. Overview:
- Part Time
- 2 Days a Week
- 16 Hours Per Week
- Start: As Soon As Possible
- End: May 31, 2024
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments for students with various disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student goals and needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated services.
- Deliver effective therapy interventions to address motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and mobility.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
- Offer guidance and support to teachers and staff in promoting optimal physical development and inclusion.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and developments in the field of physical therapy.
Requirements:
- Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measure progress.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
- Compliance with state and federal regulations regarding student confidentiality and privacy.
