Job Title: School Social Worker
Job Type: Full Time - 35 hours per week
Location: Bad Axe, MI
Caseload: K-8th grade

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with academics, behavioral problems, family conflicts, bullying, mental health issues, and more.
• Assist in managing and responding to crises within the school environment, such as student conflicts, emergencies, or traumatic events.
• Work with students and families to assess their needs and connect them with appropriate resources and services, both within the school system and in the community.
• Develop and implement programs aimed at preventing issues such as substance abuse, bullying, and violence, as well as promoting positive behavior and social skills.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institutionrequired.
• Valid Michigan Social Worker Certificationrequired.
• 310 Certificationrequired.
• Able to pass a background check and drug testrequired.
