Sunbelt is looking for a Cardio Surgical Operating Room tech for a travel position in Pocatello, Idaho. If you are interested in this position, apply today!
Shift:
- 13 weeks
- Day shift
- 6:15a-4:45p
Qualifications:
- Surgical Technologist certification from an accredited program.
- Experience as a CVOR Tech with a focus on cardiovascular procedures.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities:
Surgical Setup:
- Prepare and set up the cardiovascular operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to verify patient and procedure details.
Instrumentation and Equipment Handling:
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons by selecting and passing appropriate instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Maintain and organize sterile surgical instrumentation, ensuring proper function and availability.
Patient Preparation:
- Assist in positioning and preparing patients for cardiovascular surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the safety and comfort of the patient throughout the surgical process.
Sterilization and Infection Control:
- Adhere to strict sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
- Properly handle, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
