Medical Billing and Coding Specialist

A busy Pediatric practice in Northern Virginia is seeking for a Certified Billing and Coding Specialist with at least 3-5 years of experience in Medical Billing in our Fairfax location. Job responsibilities: Properly coding: services, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments Preparing and sending invoices or claims for payment Working on claim denials Tracking Payments Following up with patients and insurance companies about outstanding balances Collect, post, and manage patient account payments Supports additional coding, billing, and practice management projects as needed Answers questions, advises, and trains providers and staff on medical coding Keeping up to date with changes in coding and diagnostic procedures Works towards compliance in all aspects of coding, participates in compliance activities as requested, and conducts/participates in provider coding reviews and education, as requested Benefits: 401(k) matching Health insurance Vision insurance Dental insurance Flexible spending account Paid Federal Holidays (6) Paid time off Shifts are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Salary: Based on Experience Job Type: Full-time Work location: In-Office; Fairfax, VA
