Job Description
Position Purpose
Responsible for the implementation, optimization, execution, KPI tracking, maintenance and improvements around procurement initiatives; vertical integration (VI) of raw materials and operation process improvements from a procurement perspective.
Additional responsibilities will include demand planning, sourcing optimization/execution, and purchase order management of CapEx NPM lumber, B2S and OpEx repair lumber across the entire network to include the U.S., Canada and Latin America sourcing and demand. This includes the optimization, planning and execution of the lumber needs for the entire plant and supplier network throughout the U.S., Canada and LATAM to optimize supplier usage and inventory efficiency to drive the delivered cost of lumber and pallets to exceed budgeted objectives.
This position will guide the daily lumber planning with the optimal source points for each of the 140+ service centers across the network to ensure volume allocation and demand meet the business needs and ensure that the source points for the lumber is at the optimal level to meet or exceed the Weighted Average Cost OpEx budget.
In addition, the position will also be responsible for the planning and execution around the CapEx requests for NPM on a quarterly basis working directly with the S&OP team to ensure compliance within given demand and forecasts.

Major/Key Accountabilities
To ensure timely execution of monthly and daily planning needs for the business.
Partner with S&OP team to guarantee alignment between forecasts, demand and daily execution match the planning and daily PO requirements.
Liaison between Internal stakeholders (Business), Suppliers, IT, Procurement organization, Vendors, Finance, and Saw Mills to ensure efficiencies across operations.
Communicate change with key internal and external stakeholders
Train, mentor, keep informed Procurement Ops members and stakeholders updated on progress and changes.
Drive continuous improvement within the planning process
Tracking and reporting of critical KPIs
Measures

Procurement Planning and Demand experience preferred
Project Management Certified, Lean Six Sigma Certified ideal
Optimization experience preferred
Java Script/coding experience preferred
BS in Supply Chain and Engineering preferred. BS in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience acceptable
Experience
5 - 10 years of procurement planning and demand experience in operations
Demonstrated successful experience implementing and managing operational projects
Experience in multi-facility, international organizations, and working across multiple time zones
Experience in diverse multi-cultural, corporate cultures
Demonstrated results-driven approach with strong problem solving, analytics, and leadership skills
Demonstrated managing conflict and negotiating commitments to achieve the end goal
Demonstrated strong understanding of corporate internal organizations, processes and technologies required by the role
Demonstrates strong commercial awareness and understanding of customer business drivers
Strong communication skills; written and verbal
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to drive standardization of Procurement processes and compliance
Skills and Knowledge
Extensive knowledge with CHEP operations, planning and demand processes, plant operations, and lumber manufacturing
Assist in the investigation and resolution of problems; maintain team productivity on department goals and objectives
Excellent time management skills
Advanced MS Office skills; expert Excel skills are required
Ability to manage risk by identifying, quantifying and monitoring potential threats to business operations
