Commercial Appliance Service Technician -058 Culver City, CA, USA Req #216 Wednesday, February 14, 2024 U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management services firm, is seeking a Full-Time skilled and experienced Commercial Appliance Service Technician to support the operations in its Culver City, CA location. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining common commercial kitchen appliances as well as coffee/espresso machines, water filtration systems, pizza ovens, and hood systems. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: With minimal to no supervision, performs maintenance and repairs applying mastery of tradecraft skills in the area(s) of specialization. Maintain and repair commercial appliances throughout the campus. Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair problems with commercial kitchen appliances. Replace or repair damaged or worn-out parts and components. Conduct routine maintenance and inspection of commercial appliances. Coordinate services with local vendors/contractors Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols. Ability to work with little or no direction at times. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including applying proper safety practices and following procedures while performing maintenance tasks. Knowledge of machinery and equipment such hoods, refrigerators, mixers, walk-ins, ovens, stoves, dishwashers, and more. Experience in operations and maintenance in a large commercial kitchen environment. High attention to detail. May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and change business practices Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial appliance repair. Excellent knowledge of commercial kitchen appliances and their components. Strong relationships with local commercial appliance vendors/contractors Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Demonstrated fluency in using a MAC laptop and iOS Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access databases, to send/receive messages, and to prepare documents and reports. Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone, via email, and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations. Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress. License/Certification: Valid State of CA Driver's License EPA Universal 608 Physical Requirements: Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement. Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively through facilities during a workday. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment. Requires the ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs as needed during a workday. Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, kneel, reach/stretch, and move in a 90-degree fashion during the workday. Requires ability to read and understand the information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Special Requirements: Wear composite toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other personal protective equipment as needed. Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
