Line Cook

7OH2 Hospitality is seeking professional & skilled, Line Cooks to join our dynamic hospitality group. As a dedicated team, we are eager to find an individual who is enthusiastic about being part of the initial stages of an exciting group that is truly passionate about creating something special.}

Compensation: $20 -$25 – based on experience

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

●  Self-Starter

●  Ensure that stations are set up, stocked, cleaned.

●  Prepare multiple components of each dish on the menu.

●  Portion control and follow recipes.

●  Observes and adheres to safety and security procedures, promoting a safe work environment.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

●  Takes ownership of all work performed and communicated.

●  Completes tasks on time or notifies the appropriate person with an alternate plan.

ORAL /WRITTEN COMMUNICATION:

●  Practices attentive and active listening with staff.

●  Listens without interruption and gets clarification.

●  Actively participates in meetings, contributing ideas to improve the company.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

● Minimum of 2 years as a Line Cook in a high-volume, full-service environment. High-volume corporate operation preferred.

● High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

● ServSafe Certified.

● Previous experience in a fast-paced, professional, team-centric setting is a must. You should be versatile and skilled in various aspects of the culinary field.

● Competent in the State of Michigan & Detroit City Health Department Standards. Must be able to always maintain a compliant score, No Exceptions.

● Ability to remain professional and composed during peak hours and high-pressure situations.

● Must possess EXTREMELY high standards.

● Able to work a flexible schedule, especially during pre-opening and opening stages of the establishment.

● While performing the physical demands of this position, associates are expected to observe and adhere to safety and security procedures, promoting a safe work environment.

○ Position is expected to:

• Stand more 80% of the time

• Walk more than 50% of the time

• Lift up to 50 pounds

• Push / pull up to 30 pounds.
