Job Title: Bench Chemist
Payrate: $23.90/hr. + Benefits

Duration: 1 Year Contract with possibility of extension.
Location: Zebulon, NC 27597
Schedule: Standard Day Shift (Monday-Friday; 40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:
 

  • Perform routine analytical testing on raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, and environmental samples using approved methods and various instrumentation such as HPLC, Vitek, GC, UV, microscope, gram stainer, and robotics.
  • Generate valid data with expected productivity levels while adhering to cGMP standards.
  • Interpret test data validity and produce accurate results.
  • Communicate all important aspects of analytical testing, including deviations, to immediate supervisor or designee.
  • Evaluate data produced by other members of the analytical group.
  • Document analytical data accurately and review official laboratory documents like SOPs, technical reports, methods, and specifications.
  • Assist in the development, validation, and transfer of analytical methods.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
  • Train other laboratory personnel on methods, instrumentation, and computer systems.
  • Review and update training materials, maintaining proper documentation of training activities.
  • Participate in interdepartmental project teams or committees.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience with analytical testing and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of cGMP standards and laboratory best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate results.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Ability to troubleshoot laboratory instruments effectively.
  • Experience in training others and reviewing training materials is a plus.
