Senior Financial Analyst 

Full-Time / Exempt / Hybrid / Cordova, TN 

 

As a Senior Financial Analyst on the corporate FP&A team, you will provide finance business support to Finance and Operational stakeholders and play a pivotal role in supporting the organization through accurate and insightful reporting and analysis to support key decisions. Additionally, as a Senior Financial Analyst you will be engaged in activities related to ongoing budgeting, forecasting, and mergers and acquisitions. A strong candidate will combine a strong analytical mindset with technical ability and excellent people skills.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparation of key financial analyses and management reports, including reports to the Board of Directors, monthly revenue analytics, and other reporting as requested
  • Actively involved in the creation and review of the annual budgeting process, periodic annual forecasting, and related reporting, including preparing key supporting schedules and analyses
  • Complete month end reports as required and perform special projects (financial and operational) as requested
  • Prepare analyses to support merger and acquisition activity, strategic initiative evaluation and tracking, and store level initiatives and opportunities
  • Proactively identifying and developing KPIs and key operating metrics and the related linkage to the Company's financial results
  • Understanding key business drivers
  • Developing financial projections and building financial models
  • Lead data-driven decision making and drive performance improvements
  • Ad hoc business analysis and reporting for the Executive Leadership Team

Successful Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, required.
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred, but not required
  • 3+ years of related work experience is preferred
  • Retail and distribution industry experience desired
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel skills
  • Understanding of data warehouse and query tools, such as PowerBI and Tableau
  • Must be able to work with reasonable supervision, multi-task and prioritize among concurrent projects and responsibilities, and meet deadlines
  • Well versed in performing detailed income statement analytics
  • Ability to look at the root cause of process and efficiency issues, leading to solution alternatives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior management
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong inter-personal skills and proven ability to be a team player in order to lead and work in cross-functional teams across multiple departments and various levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and workflow with acute attention to detail, and ability to work independently and autonomously in a dynamic environment
