*Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto is now hiring Line cooks for Morimoto Maui, located in the Andaz Maui At Wailea Resort - Andaz, an upscale casual concept in the Morimoto portfolio. This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing global company.*
We are searching for a team who can work in a fast-paced environment, talented in multiple areas, can learn quickly, take on a large amount of responsibility, work as a team, and ensure Chef Morimoto's cuisine is prepared to the standard.
*Responsibilities*
* Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
* Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
* Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
* Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
* Clean up station and take care of leftover food
* Stock inventory appropriately
* Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
* Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
*Position Requirements*:
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a restaurant or similar environment preferred, adequate knowledge of food safety and sanitation, flexible schedule, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A highly motivated and energetic personality.
- Has ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours.
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to Morimoto Brand standards.
