Position Summary:

Coordinate Information Technology projects with management, users, IT staff, and vendors. Oversee all information technology systems-related activities for specific client departments. Support internal clients with continual analysis of systems with focus on adding value to or streamlining processes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements in addition to all state and federal laws and regulations, including Regulation CC, the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP). Educate members on various credit union policies, procedures and related laws and regulations where applicable.
• Develop plans for implementation of new projects. Provide well-defined plans including procedures, documentation, deadlines and accountability.
• Supervise and direct the IT functions of the credit union to ensure that in-house systems, programming, networking, installations, and operations support the credit union’s goals and objectives.
• Research industry trends in technology to ensure the credit union remains competitive in its product and service offerings. Keep abreast of changing trends in technology to include hardware, networks and network tools, software and systems.
• Direct the inventory, upgrade and maintenance of all computer hardware, software, system tools, and peripherals such as printers, scanners, signature pads, biometric and other external devices including the assurance of the Software Management Policy and the compliance of all software registration, licensing, upgrading and patches.
• Act as primary contact for all application systems, and vendors.
• Hire, supervise, and direct IT staff.
• Ensure department coverage including after hours support.
• Ensure support is provided to internal staff in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
• Ensure that operational manuals and documentation are accurate and up to date. Ensure that processes comply with regulations.
• Back up Information Technology staff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.


Essential Functions:

• Extended sitting of up to 70% of the time.
• Lifting up to 20 pounds may be frequently required.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds may be occasionally required.
• Bending and reaching above and below shoulder level may be frequently required.
• Sound perception/discrimination is frequently required.
• Occasional travel and irregular hours.
• Must be bondable.


Education, Training and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year experience in related fields required. • Working understanding of Microsoft, Internet, telecommunications, security and related technologies required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail required.
• Supervisory experience a plus.
• Strong Credit Union background a plus.
