Full Charge Bookkeeper

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced full charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Sugar Land, TX.

Responsibilities

✓ Overseeing financial reports preparation through the collection, analysis, and summarization of data using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.

✓ Review financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.

✓ Sales Tax returns processing oversight

✓ Payroll processing oversight

✓ Preparation or Review of adjusting journal entries.

✓ Managing the progress of Bookkeeping Department projects

✓ Assist the client in the onboarding stage, along with any clean up and catch-up accounting/bookkeeping work.

✓ Consulting clients on accounting matters.

✓ Maintaining email communication with team members and clients on a daily basis

✓ Take directions and report to the Bookkeeping Manager.

✓ Effective time management and communication skills to ensure all deadlines are met and workflow does not get backed up.

 

Qualifications:

✓ The best fit for this role will have at least 5 years’ experience working with a CPA firm, managing a team, and taking on leadership responsibilities.

✓ Excellent analytical, mathematical, and critical thinking skills.

✓ Experience working with QuickBooks Online and Desktop is required.

✓ Ability to manage time and stress management with great communication skills.

✓ Ability to receive constructive criticism and apply to ongoing projects to show improvement.

✓ Highly motivated and the ability to work independently.

✓ Detail oriented and the ability to prioritize and focus in a high-paced, multi-tasking environment.

✓ Extraordinary verbal and written communication skills.

✓ Proficient in Microsoft Office and equivalent accounting software.

✓ Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time permanent basis.

✓ Understanding of 401K and SEP IRA retirement plans.
