Job Description

The successful candidate is responsible for the processes involved in child parts ordering. Duties including, but not limited to: entering child part information from the Production Schedule, verifying inventory before issuing releases to suppliers, communicating regularly with multiple suppliers to verify part numbers, quantity needed, and delivery dates. Works closely with internal departments to provide status, receive guidance on issues affecting production, and ensuring availability for distribution of parts and quality checking if necessary to avoid production line stoppage. Serves as a point of contact for Domestic and HSP Suppliers

•Verifies current availability in C-Core along with a physical check of inventory as needed for critical parts and problematic suppliers. Communicates as needed with other internal departments.

•Negotiates delivery and volume requirements, obtains management approval, and informs appropriate departments and managers with issues affecting the production line.

•Conducts physical inventories as needed for critical items and/or problematic suppliers. Assists with quarterly physical inventory and conducts a physical inventory review within 48 hours of actual inventory process.

•Travel to supplier facilities to analyze issue(s) (capacity, manpower, machine, quality, etc.) by observation, time studies, or other methods and generate countermeasures to prevent future issues.

 

Requirements:

•Possess professional written and oral communication, organization and problem-solving skills

•Strong Microsoft Word , Excel and Power Point. Familiar with Access and willingness to attend training as needed.

•Experience in Epicore and C-Core or equivalent MRP/ERP Systems

•Work effectively within a cross functional team , providing leadership and exhibiting professionalism

•Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required by circumstances

•Candidate must be a self starter and possess a positive attitude.

•Any post secondary education is a plus.

•Availability to work overtime including occasional weekends as needed.
