Job Description

Our Shift Leaders and Assistant Managers are trained to work each position in the restaurant as well as to lead the team to success.

 

As a Store Leader, your responsibilities fall into 4 broad categories:

- Supporting, training & supervising team members.

- Opening & closing according to restaurant procedures.

- Living out the Cedars “WHY” by captaining the delivery of a memorable customer and staff experience.

- Assisting in upholding restaurant policies and procedures.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Models a customer comes first attitude, delivers memorable customer service, and supervises the team to ensure they are delivering high quality customer service.
  • Intake and execution of catering orders
  • Assisting in bi-weekly schedule creation 
  • Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
  • Being the hawk of the store: “Vibe checker” - music, cleanliness, tidiness - embracing the guest experience. 
  • Addressing customer issues, complaints, getting answers to team member questions
  • Accounting for the intake of cash deposits/cash handling
  • Leading & Delegating sidework projects
  • Coaching existing + Training new team members
  • Performing thorough walk throughs to confirm lists are complete & cleanliness standards are being met
  • Inventory reporting and intake
  • Being an accountability partner to all team members
  • Filling in for unexpected employee absences
  • Supporting staff at various positions as needed
  • Being the liaison between staff members and owners.
  • Problem solving issues as they arise and being a thought partner to shift leads on duty.
