Looking for a fun fast-paced work environment? Karen's Kountry Store at South Mountain Creamery is the place for you! We are a local creamery that is open to the public to ensure our community “knows your farmer, Know your food”. As part of the store team, you are the first and most familiar face our customers see. You will gain knowledge of all our products and services offered. You will communicate with a diverse customer base and serve them when needed. We also offer many activities during the week like calf feeding and tours. On the weekends we host multiple events that bring out 1,000’s of people to the farm.

Store job overview & general responsibilities:
As a store member you will stock shelving units, answer customer questions, scoop ice cream and create sundaes along with over-the-top milkshakes. You will frequently work with some hot prep items as in a waffle maker and donut press. You are also responsible for safe and consistent cash handling policies. For events you may be put in multiple jobs that reflect those of the store in similar ways.

• Stocking shelves
• Moving in and out of different temperatures. Extreme cold to extreme heat
• Scooping ice cream for customers
• Creating and mixing sundaes or milkshakes
• Constantly cleaning and ensuing the store is upkept.
• Following various FDA rules and restrictions
• Handling cash and register transactions.
• Answering all customers questions
• Keeping customers updated on all changes.

• Must be at least 15 years of age with a valid work permit.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to or learn how to handle escalated customer complaints. (customer service)
• Must be able to work somewhere between the time frame of 9am – 7:30pm (sometimes later due to events)
• Can be flexible with working weekdays and weekends.
• Physically able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Physically able to stoop, lean, or squat to complete certain job duties.
