Our clinic in Defuniak Springs, Florida, is dedicated to providing high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As a Behavior Technician, you'll play a crucial role in implementing evidence-based interventions and helping children achieve their developmental goals.

The Behavior Technician works under the supervision of our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement ABA treatment programs for children with autism. This position requires obtaining an RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). We offer comprehensive paid training to support your professional growth and development.

• Work directly with children, ranging in age from 18 months to 18 years, in a clinic setting.
• Behavioral Interventions: Implement technical practices of applied behavior analysis, including but not limited to:
  • Discrete trial training
  • Natural environment teaching
  • Social skills development
  • Running behavior intervention plans
• Client Materials: Maintain and organize client materials, creating new materials as needed.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other therapists, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members (e.g., school, Speech, OT, and PT providers).
• Behavior Management: Handle behaviors such as aggression, tantrums, self-injurious behaviors, and potty training. Crisis intervention practices may be necessary (training provided).

• Passion: A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with ASD.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (additional relevant coursework is a plus).
• Training: Willingness to complete RBT certification within 8 weeks of hire.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transport children as needed.
• Availability: Flexible schedule (part-time or full-time options available).
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
• Must pass a background screening

• Hourly Pay: Starting rates between $15.00 and $16.00 per hour.
