We are currently seeking a Corporate Payroll Manager with extensive experience using “ADP Comprehensive Services” in the U.S. for payroll processing for corporate and multi-site operational locations. Familiarity with Canadian payroll processing using “Payworks” is a plus. This position can be based in either of our key U.S. operational locations in Lincoln, NE or Salisbury, NC, or our corporate office in Costa Mesa, CA.

Overview

The Corporate Payroll Manager is responsible for managing ADP, Payworks and payroll clerk for processing payroll from start to finish. You will be responsible for a variety of payroll issues, including 401(k), garnishments, bonuses, and benefits. You will lead updating and standardizing payroll processes.

The job function and typical work activities include:

  • Act as a single point of contact with ADP Comprehensive Services team for bi-weekly payroll processing at corporate and multi-site operational locations.
  • Improve efficiency and centralization of payroll function.
  • Support Human Resources and operations with payroll/headcount analysis and reporting.
  • Process payroll map files for upload into ADP statistical summary report and to Payworks for Canada payroll.
  • Managing and resolving any issues related to payroll.
  • Interact with managers at all levels of the organization regarding payroll.
  • Calculate and record month end wage accruals.
  • Review ADP tax notices and assure company compliance.
  • Process quarterly payroll reports through ADP and Payworks.
  • Prepare monthly wage and PTO reconciliation to General Ledger.
  • Prepare and post month end wage reclassification entries.
  • Coordinating with HR and accounting to verify employee data, benefit deductions, and carrier feeds.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 4-year business degree
  • 7+ years of experience in all phases of payroll / time & attendance processing
  • Extensive experience with ADP payroll systems
  • Experience in a shared service environment and solid understanding of HR cycles
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint)
  • Experience working in ERP system and posting General Ledger transactions

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a step ladder as necessary.
