ARG Industrial is seeking a full-time Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative for our Fairbanks location. We are looking for a self-starter who works well with others in an energetic team environment, has the ability to take charge, and possesses a willingness to learn. The candidate must be organized, possess a strong attention to detail and strive to provide a great customer service experience.


ARG Industrial is part of the Alaska Rubber Group (ARG) and provides hose, fittings and associated industrial products for a wide variety of markets and industries. These include equipment manufacturing, transportation, oil, and gas, marine, construction, food & beverage, government, and others. Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer all customer inquiries quickly and accurately in a positive manner.
  • Responsible for answering the phone and assisting front counter customers.
  • Research products and prices to best fit customer’s application and requirements.
  • Maintain clean organized showroom and replenish stock product as needed.
  • Generate quotes, enter orders, contact vendors, update records and track orders as necessary through the ERP system.
  • Support Outside Sales and respond in a timely manner with price, availability, product specifications, order status and other information as required.
  • Attend product training and seminars if available.
  • Work with others to create a positive team environment.
  • Other duties assigned.

Successful candidate will possess:

  • Experience in customer service desired.
  • Good basic math skills and communications skills.
  • Willing to learn and teach as required to get the job done.
  • Must be attentive to detail.
  • Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Reliable and dependable adherence to work schedule.
  • Shift work assignment priorities when needed and as directed.
