Shooting Sports Director

· Issues, receives, and maintains accountability of all firearms

· Schedules and performs preventive and organizational maintenance on firearms

● Develops/coordinates/implements maintenance and inspection program for firearms

● Submits parts orders to Program Manager

● Utilizes computer to enter and verify data regarding specific firearms and develop reports

● Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership

● Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook

● 18 years of age or older

● Minimum 2+ years' experience in armorer role OR gunsmithing degree/ industry certification

● Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

● Must have a high degree of organizational skills and attention to detail

● Must be able to multi-task while meeting the needs of a rapidly changing environment

● Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination

● Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America

● Completes contract period with 2-4 positive experiences

● Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants

● Contribute at least one improvement to firearms maintenance procedures

● Long periods of time sitting/standing and able to lift 50-70 lbs. overhead

● Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements HERE
