Coeur Rochester, a subsidiary of Coeur Mining Inc. based near Lovelock, Nevada is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Rochester Mine.

The Mobile Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervision of planned and unplanned maintenance repairs carried out by the rotating shifts and contractors to ensure that continuity of work occurs between shift rotations and weekends. This individual is also responsible for coordination of emergent work that takes place outside of the normal planning and scheduling process to support availability and compliance to plan targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Enforce adherence and compliance to daily and weekly work plan.
  • Promote timely, efficient, and effective execution of the PM services. Responsible for and works closely with contractors to identify and manage bottlenecks, functional capability gaps and constraints with projects to ensure that actions are in place to deliver results consistent with the department dashboard key performance indicators (KPI) metrics.
  • Recommend changes as needed to ensure continuous improvement in the areas of project execution and efficient work practices.
  • Responsible for ensuring Maintenance team is equipped with required critical parts for a successful execution of work.
  • Be highly involved with crew lineouts, to include running effective safety meetings, delivering daily work plan, ensuring quality work is being performed, as well as compliance to work plan.
  • Ensure employee development by recognizing employee strengths and weakness, be highly involved in identifying technical training needs and employee upwards progression.
  • Be highly involved in both employee recognitions as well as disciplinary actions.
  • Work closely with the Mine Operations team to ensure equipment needs are being met collaboratively and that availability goals are met.
  • Coordinate the defined troubleshooting strategy with both company and contract labor technicians, ensure world class standards for preventative maintenance practices are being followed and improved upon on a regular basis.
  • Work closely with the Mobile Maintenance Planning Department to ensure all major and minor components are being documented and stagged for core credit returns.
  • Direct the coordination of workplace inspections to identify conditions or practices that have safety concerns and the potential for equipment down time. Correct substandard conditions and practices to minimize employee accidents, property, and environmental damages.
  • Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace while enforcing safety, environmental, and company procedures and guidelines.
  • Manage employee schedules, timecards, vacations, etc.
  • Devise daily work plans based on operational priorities, primary maintenance objectives, and current labor.
  • Track down equipment and high priority parts and report the status to operations staff and daily meetings.
  • Continuous improvement focus to optimize work efficiency and quality of work performed with a customer focus and steward of the mobile equipment fleet.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  • Implement changes as needed to ensure continuous improvement in the areas of project execution and efficient work practices.
  • Work closely with mining department supervisors collaboratively to meet plans and targets for both departments.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience with a mechanical or technical background in maintenance and/or a relevant mining experience and background.
  • Knowledgeable with Viziya and Oracle/EAM scheduling tool or similar system and Avent-X Mobile App will be desirable.
  • Thorough understanding of standard maintenance and operational procedures and be able to complete tasks with guidelines stipulated by Coeur safety and environmental policies.
  • Effective oral and written communication to include interpersonal and interviewing skills, involving sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Ability to prioritize work activity, uses time efficiently, and develops realistic action plans.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and use teamwork to solve problems.
