Aquatics Supervisor

Montclair Golf Club is looking for a mature and safety minded individual to join our Aquatics Team!

The Aquatics Supervisor directly supports the Aquatics Director in the implementation of overall pool operations, supervision of the lifeguard team, and pool related administrative tasks. The Aquatics Supervisor positively interacts with other MGC program areas and team members on a daily basis, and possesses superior communication, leadership and decision-making skills. The Aquatics Supervisor assists in maintaining safe conditions in the pool, on deck and in the surrounding areas, and helps to create a positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with MGC policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

Actively apply and enforce all pool rules, and proactively address members and staff to maintain a safe environment.

Assist with overall management of lifeguards, swim coaches and swim instructors.

Assist with lifeguard scheduling.

Assist with the implementation of meetings and trainings for aquatics staff.

Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a superior level of customer service.

If serving as an on-duty lifeguard, maintain constant surveillance of participants in the facility and act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of participants in the event of an emergency.

Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of EMS as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Attend all staff meetings and trainings as required.

Maintains effective positive relationships with members and staff.

Requirements:

3+ years of lifeguard/lifeguard management experience

Current American Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR First Aid Certification

Demonstrated leadership qualities

Supervisory and customer service experience
