Landscape Grader Operator

POSITION OVERVIEW

Assists in the day-to-day activities of the construction operations by completing assigned tasks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completes preparations for grading commercial and residential properties for new construction.
• Operate equipment to avoid utility lines, equipment and other workers
• Completes assigned tasks efficiently, thoroughly, and in accordance with company production rates and requirements
• Operates a variety of heavy equipment such as graders, trucks, power cranes and shovels to move rocks, dirt and other material in accordance with manufacturer and safety standards
• Uses basic tools safely and properly, including but not limited to, bulldozers, grading rakes, rollers, back hoes, and wheelbarrows
• Follows all project plans, material lists, and/or guidelines
• Ensures installation of all lawns, plants, and masonry align with company standards
• Maintains a clean and safe work site including proper maintenance and care of all company equipment
• Works in a safe manner and reports any/all unsafe conditions to Maintenance/Construction Operations Manager
• Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
• Position may perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1 year grading industry experience preferred, not required

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to perform all aspects of landscape tasks in a safe manner
• Ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks
