Pacific Autism Center for Education (PACE) is currently seeking empathetic and enthusiastic staff to assist in our residential group homes.

As a Residential Administrator, the primary goal is to bring your passion and love for working with individuals with special needs to work every day and also oversee the staff in the home. We teach and assist our residents with functional daily living skills, community outings and activities, and companionship. The Residential Administrator is ultimately responsible for the welfare of the consumers, the relationship with the parents/families, the relationship with the regulatory agencies and the functional safety of the home itself. The Administrator is responsible for the training and oversight of the individuals that serve these needs.

Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:

o Residential Business – Ensure the necessary quality and compliance of the home structure, staffing (training, clearances, scheduling, CE units, etc), supplies and activities.

o Financial Responsibility – Assume check writing authority for the homes to cover expenses. Forecast any significant capital expenditures and routinely audit home expenditures/budgets.

o Documentation – Ensure that the home, consumer, medical, behavior and financial documentation are complete, updated and confidentially secured.

o Scheduling – Responsible for weekly staffing schedules and ensures compliance with Title 17.

o Staff Training – Responsible for initial & on-going training of DSP staff.

o Quality Review – Ensure that the home is compliant with the SARC QMS requirements and periodically participate in Quality Assessment Review of the home and other homes in and outside of the agency.

· Age – 21 years of age or older

· Education – Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred. Competency in English writing and communication (i.e. writing IPP reports and conducting IPP annual reviews)

· Driver – Posses a valid CA drivers license with a good driving record and proof of insurance.

· Experience – Must have a minimum of 12-months prior full-time experience providing direct supervision and special services to persons with developmental disabilities (Title 22/17)

· Certification Approval – Must be capable of completing CCL training with passing administrator certification and SARC RSO with follow up interview/approval. Must be independently approved by both agencies.

· Medical – Must have a clear physical health and TB test prior to employment and routinely during employment as required.

· Clearance – Must possess and maintain a clear DOJ, FBI prior to and during employment.

Physical Requirements

The Residential Administrator must be able to physically support the consumers behavioral issues/care, as well as the ability to transport the consumers to emergency appointments. The Residential Administrator must be able to comply and adhere to the following physical requirements.

· Pushing and Pulling –Must be able to lift and or push at least 45lbs with assistance.

· Twisting and Turning – Due to the high activity of the program this position requires the individual to be able to physically bend, squat, reach over shoulders, reach over head, reach outward, kneel, sit, walk on normal, slippery, or uneven surfaces and stand.

· Client Redirection – should be able to redirect consumer when having a behavior.

· Driving – Must be comfortable in driving passenger size automatic transmission vans if approved as a driver. (If over the age of 25)

· Office Work – This position requires that the Residential Administrator conduct the following office work: Keyboard, Handling, Repetitive Motion of Hands and Feet.
