Pay: $70000 - 75000 / year
*Plus commission on up-sales
Role Overview: As a Special Event Sales Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving revenue growth through the sale and execution of private events. You will work closely with clients, coordinating all aspects of their events, ensuring exceptional service and a seamless experience from initial inquiry to event conclusion.
Responsibilities:
- Actively prospect, sell, and book a diverse range of special events, including weddings, corporate functions, social gatherings, and more.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and customizing event packages to exceed their expectations.
- Collaborate with the culinary and service teams to create tailored menus and event plans that align with client preferences and budgetary constraints.
- Manage event logistics, including contracts, timelines, staffing, and vendor coordination, to ensure flawless execution.
- Conduct site tours, tastings, and client meetings to showcase our venue and offerings.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to continuously enhance our event offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in the hospitality or events industry, with a strong emphasis on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and remain composed under pressure.
- Knowledge of Marina del Rey's local event landscape and client networks is a plus.
- Proficiency in Delphi / Salesforce software is a plus!
