Virginia MetalFab is looking for motivated and energetic individuals to fill the internship role in Marketing.

As a Marketing Intern, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our brand, creating eye-catching content for social media, SEO, and various marketing campaigns. Your creativity and problem-solving skills will be essential as you develop strategies to engage our audience and boost our brand's appeal. In this role, you'll learn to balance creativity with strategy, working both independently and as part of our dynamic team. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  • Content Creation and Management: Develop and collect engaging content, including images and videos, for marketing campaigns. This may involve coordinating photoshoots and video shoots, and ensuring all content aligns with VMF’s brand image and business goals.
  • Digital Presence Oversight: Regularly update and maintain the company's website with current, accurate, and engaging content. Analyze content marketing data to optimize SEO and improve online visibility.
  • Social Media Strategy: Utilize Buffer to schedule and oversee content across multiple platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter. Engage with the audience to foster community presence, analyze engagement data, and identify trends to anticipate consumer needs.
  • Virtual Engagement: Create a Matterport virtual tour of the VMF shop/facility to support client onboarding and enhance engagement.
  • Recruitment Marketing: Design and publish compelling job postings using platforms like Canva to draw in top talent and improve customer retention through targeted messaging.
  • Marketing Material Production: Craft high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital ads, that resonate with the company’s target audiences and contribute to increased brand loyalty and profitability.
  • Strategic Content Planning: Develop and execute content strategies to attract and retain the company’s target demographics, ensuring all initiatives are cohesive and support VMF’s overall marketing goals.

HOURS

Dependent on availability, business office hours 7am-4pm M-F

SKILLS & ABILITIES


Age: At least 16 years of age.


Education: In process of obtaining HSD or GED


Experience: Social media, content creation and strong technical proficiency in modern marketing tools.


Computer Skills: Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn production software or other company systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.


Certifications & Licenses:


Other Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Able to wear PPE in the shop area.


Physical Demands

Lift/carry - Up to and including 21-50 lbs. occasionally.

Push/pull - Up to 26-40 lbs. occasionally.
