Job Description

A successful Recruiting Specialist will have creative ideas on how to reach passive candidates, a drive to exceed weekly and monthly hiring goals, and will have incredible networking abilities.

Responsible for placing and maintaining recruitment advertising, conducting creative networking & recruiting events, building relationships with colleges and universities and other referral sources, reviewing resumes and conduct phone screens, and sourcing candidates through a variety of outreach efforts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Seek opportunities in the communities to recruit talent for vacancies at Tresco by actively networking within the communities where Tresco has worksites. Engage in external events within those communities and attend a minimum of 4 external events per year or as assigned.
  • Headhunt and leverage all job boards to track and monitor prospects and convert them to applicants.
  • Create relationships with agencies related to Tresco’s mission, including those that serve persons with disabilities, veterans, and people looking for employment.
  • Regularly update applicant tracking to inform hiring managers of qualified candidates.
  • Regularly attend meetings with each department division to understand staffing needs.
  • Create, develop, and post marketing material for job ads.
  • Coordinate and administer candidate onboarding and follow-up activities to include new hire orientation.

Competencies, Knowledge, & Skills:

  • Exceptional event planning and execution skills: Engaging, addressing, and speaking to large and diverse ranges of candidates, managers, and staff through conversation or presentation.
  • Experience and confidence with data entry, tracking, and interpretation through excel or other similar programs.
  • Excellent computer skills, to include MS Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and critical thinking, including interviewing skills, personal communication skills, organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to influence others.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal management and oversight, multi-task, and ability to manage several projects simultaneously to meet specific objectives under time constraints. Must have a sense of urgency and be a proactive self-starter who navigates work effectively to produce high quality results and is a team player.
  • Ability to learn how each division meets Tresco’s mission and market to program participants, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary and travel at least 40% locally and across New Mexico regions on a quarterly basis for recruitment purposes.
  • Excellent customer service skills required to build and maintain relationships to work well with all levels of management and teams. Promote an inclusive environment by seeking ways to integrate differences.
  • Ability to analyze and apply judgment in resolving complex problems.
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or at least 2+ years combination of experience and education.
  • 2+ years experience in recruitment, selection, and hiring preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of issues relating to recruitment and selection as well as employment law and other Human Resources practices is required.
  • 2+ years full cycle recruiting.
  • 2+ years experience in grassroots organizing, outreach, and/or campaign management preferred.
  • Experience in marketing/social media and public relations preferred.

Three years administrative/professional experience required, of which two years should be within a Human Resources environment preferably in a recruitment role.
