What You Will Do:

As part of our exciting growth strategy, we are seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Coordinator who will support Christman's Self-Perform companies and provide bilingual support to our teams.

As a Human Resources Coordinator, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides administrative support to employees on all HR matters and assists with daily requests.
  • Works with the HR team, Benefits, and Payroll to resolve all issues raised by employees and managers.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Ensures the integrity and confidentiality of records.
  • Answers questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Leads onboarding process for all new employees, including the processing of I9 information and document verification.
  • Coordinates all steps in the leave management process for Self-Perform employees.
  • Guides supervisors and employees through employment related processes.
  • Assists with compilation and reporting of hiring and employment related data to designated regulatory agencies.
  • Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies, governmental laws, and regulations.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Assists with the distribution of data collection tools, including but not limited to employee surveys.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of proven successful work experience in a similar role.
  • Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent), both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations as they relate to multi-state organizations.

Preferred experience, knowledge, and skills:

  • Experience working with distributed, remote teams.
  • Experience providing support to employees on a range of topics within the field of HR.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong people skills and effective relationship-building capacity with internal team members at various levels in the organization.
  • Capable of collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as needed.
