Job Description
The Mental Health Program Manager will provide general oversight of the Mental Health Program and Medi-Cal Services for region. He/She will be the direct supervisor of School Based Therapists, Rehabilitation Specialists and assist in managing the Medi-Cal billing process to assure the accurate accounting of billable hours.

Candidates must have their LMFT, LPCC, and/or LCSW license through BBS for at least 2 years.

Requirements:

  • Must be registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an AMFT/ASW/LMFT/LCSW/LPCC/PCC
  • Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Ability to pass physical, TB test, and drug screen

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:

  1. Provide general oversight for the Mental Health Program in their region.
  2. Provide counseling services to a small number of clients.
  3. Promote and maintain clinical excellence in counseling services provided.
  4. Receive and direct referrals from County MH Departments as the program representative responsible for intake management.
  5. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining efficiency in program billing process.
  6. Responsible for non-clinical supervision and training of Therapists, Rehabilitation Specialists, and other support staff.
  7. Maintain and promote clear boundaries with team members to facilitate effective coordination of services.
  8. Monitor client roster and therapist caseload performance.
  9. Provide Clinical Supervision to staff on a regular basis.
  10. Conduct appropriate program analysis to ensure quality of service provided.
  11. Maintain personal client caseload as program demands.
  12. Attend all meetings scheduled with County Mental Health departments, school district representatives and other agencies.
  13. Report to Regional/District Director.
  14. Perform any other job related duties as may be assigned by the Chief Executive Officer
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 2 to 10 employees, depending on size of region, in the Mental Health Department.
