Job Summary
The Construction Supervisor is responsible for coordinating construction efforts through in-house and contract laborer maintenance, supervising construction projects. Responsible for the safety and quality of crew.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry.

  • OSHA 30 certification within 30 days of hire.

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the crew or vendor on the project site.

  • Enforce company policy and procedure; take disciplinary action when necessary.

  • Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.

  • Inspect work progress, equipment, or project sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.

  • Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.

  • Confer with Project Manager, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.

  • Coach workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, or company policies.

  • Establish positive employee relations through effective communication and ongoing support.

  • Provide assistance to workers engaged in construction or excavation activities, using hand tools or other equipment.

  • Arrange or delegate for repairs of equipment or machinery.

  • Review and process damage claims.

  • Follow and enforce the Company’s policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as requested by the manager.

  • Use industry specific software for project supporting information.

Additional Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of construction work experience

  • Understanding of all safety requirements per OSHA specifications

  • Underground, Aeriel, MDU, Coax Splicing, or Fiber Splicing experience preferred.

Working Conditions- Field environment, flexibility of schedule according to needs of operation; on-call rotation
