Responsibilities

- Performs extensive medical record review and concurrent chart data abstraction on all regulatory/registry-required clinical indicators for assigned patient groups. Selects and collects appropriate data from patient charts relevant to the core measures set and disease-specific indicators.
- Delivers timely and comprehensive outcomes reports to QI committees, clinical and administrative executive leaders.
- Works concurrently and collaboratively with physicians, clinicians, and other individuals involved in the quality improvement initiatives and core measures to ensure standards of quality are met.
- Participates in educational programs of staff and physicians to increase performance levels in quality improvement initiatives and core measures process.
- Utilizes principles of therapeutic communication and change theory to enhance continuous quality improvement and implementation of practice initiatives.
- Assists clinical staff with professional development and in the identification of needed resources to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Provides directions and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource and mentor.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Certification - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Board Certified within 3 months of hire (applicable to RNs only)
- Licensure - Registered Nurse License in the Commonwealth of Virginia upon hire; for non-RNs, must be registered in one of the following: RCIS, RCES, RTRCV, or RTRVI upon hire
- Experience - 3 years experience in a clinical setting
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing BSN, or graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology
