Job Description
The Lead Therapist has demonstrated consistent and reliable competency in the role of Primary Therapist, often exceeding expectations for the role. While continuing to skillfully maintain a caseload, run groups, and complete assessments as assigned, they simultaneously operate as a leader on the clinical team. The Lead Therapist works closely with the Clinical Director to ensure programmatic compliance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as a leader providing support, guidance, and direction to clinical team members.
  • Serve as the clinical team leader in the absence of the Clinical Director.
  • Help train and orient new clinical staff team members and maintain ongoing awareness of each staff members' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Suggest trainings that may benefit the development of the team for leadership consideration.
  • Facilitate trainings, when appropriate, as requested.
  • Facilitate clinical meetings, as requested.
  • Audit charts and therapist performance, as indicated.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency.
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a behavioral health related field.
  • Drug and alcohol certification through state board (CADC, CAADC, ADC, AADC or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Professional clinical license (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Experience in substance use disorders treatment strongly preferred.
