Forklift Mechanic

Angelus Block is currently seeking to hire a full-time Forklift Mechanic for our Inland Empire, CA location. The Forklift Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and planned maintenance on our Forklifts.

Experience/Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic required.
• Previous experience repairing Forklifts and Material Handling Equipment a plus.
• Measuring tools experience preferred.
• Experience with Hydraulics (high pressure), mechanical and electrical systems. Experience with brake systems, fuel systems, coolant systems, transmissions, wiring diagrams, hydraulic diagrams, 480 v electrical, welding, machining and truck tires preferred.
• Exposure to engines, electric motors and control systems. Experience on complete power train overhaul and rebuilds preferred.

Other:

• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good problem solving skills. Demonstrate effective communication skills verbally and in writing to internal and external customers.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred but not required.
• Safely operates power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks and overhead cranes.

Education:

• High School diploma or Trade School Training
• ASE certification preferred.

Minimum physical requirements:

Must have the physical stamina to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, and lifting, etc.

• Constant- Seeing, carrying, gripping objects under 20lbs.
• Frequent- Bending, reaching, sitting, lifting objects under 20lbs.
• Occasional- feeling, climbing, balancing, hearing, stooping, standing, walking, driving, twisting, hand tools. Pushing and pulling objects under 20 lbs. Carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling items from 20 lbs up to 100 lbs.
