Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Residential Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee residential construction projects
from conception to completion. This includes managing, scheduling, and supervising all jobsite activities
while adhering to established budgets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for project schedule, quality, and safety
- Participate in interview preparations for negotiated bids and writing bid scopes
- Scheduling and planning of awarded projects
- Evaluate and determine appropriate construction methods
- Manage and ensure project materials are on site at the appropriate times
- Maintain proper construction workflows and accounting practices
- Inspect all work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications and local building codes
- Communicate with clients and deliver project progress reports
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related discipline preferred
- 5+ years of construction project management experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certified
- Experience reading blueprints
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with project team and stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Builder Trend
- Strong analytical, organization and time management skills
- Effective conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works at the project jobsite exposed to
outdoor weather conditions. The employee must be able to walk around the jobsite and navigate various
terrain and work areas under construction. Must have the physical ability to climb stairs and ladders and
occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Employee will be required to always wear protective safety equipment
while walking the jobsite.
