As our Activities Coordinator, you will create, plan, and coordinate a variety of activities for the resort.


This is a seasonal position that may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Create, plan, coordinate, and attend all activities such as picnics, sporting events, dances, and dinners
  • Set up and clean up after events
  • Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests
  • Help maintain a tracking sheet to monitor attendance, vendor utilization, income, and expenses for each activity
  • Assist with ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manner while documenting all payments
  • Ensure a high standard of activities, services, and products are being offered Assist with producing a calendar of events for the next calendar season, while staying withing budget expectations
  • Purchase supplied to successfully carry out activities and group events
  • Assist with preparing the weekly newsletter and distribute to resort guests
  • Help with and organize fundraising activities to support the department Maintain accurate office ad activity supply inventories
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are kept in good condition


Job Qualifications:

  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
  • Flexibility to work events during non-business hours
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to negotiate prices/contracts on behalf of the resort

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
