Job Summary
As a Host or Hostess at Badlands, your ultimate goal is to make a lasting positive first impression for our guests and to make every guest feel at home when they choose us for their dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all guests to our restaurant in a polite and friendly manner with a smile
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting list
• Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas
• Provide menus and announce waiter/waitress name
• Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
• Collaborate with wait staff on available seating options
• Handle complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address guest questions
• Assist wait staff as needed
• Greet customers upon their departure
• Maintain a clean reception area

Qualifications

• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to be flexible in all situations based on business need
• Effective communication skills; basic math and reading skills
• Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at Badlands
• Previous experience in restaurant business
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• Patience and customer-oriented approach
• Friendly attitude & excellent people skills
• Responsible & trustworthy
