COOK POSITION OPEN

Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm

Pay: $16.50 - $22.35/hour with an extra $1.25/hour for campus differential

POSITION SUMMARY:

Gateway Adult Residential Care is seeking a Cook who will play a vital role in providing nourishing and enjoyable meals to our residents. As part of the Gateway Adult Residential Care Team, you must maintain professionalism and cater to the needs of our residents. This position will be based at the McKenzie Living Eugene campus.

Ability To:

• Demonstrate aptitude for working with caregivers, seniors, disabled, and/or individuals living with dementia and/or Mental Health diagnosis.
• Demonstrate stability in work history.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of kitchen equipment and overall kitchen area.
• Prepare lunch and dinner following Gateway/McKenzie procedures, menus, and recipes.
• Accommodate special dietary requirements and individual resident preferences.
• Ensure houses are stocked with daily food needs.
• Complete and submit required paperwork daily.

Required Qualifications:

• Must pass a background check and drug test upon conditional job offer.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing at cook stations for various lengths of time throughout the shift
• Daily walking throughout the campus and other common areas
• Crouching, kneeling, bending, and twisting throughout shift
• Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50lbs regularly
