Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team at Kingston Healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting independence and improving the quality of life for our residents through the delivery of exceptional occupational therapy services.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for residents.
  • Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, mobility, and functional abilities.
  • Conduct and document ongoing assessments of residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide support and education to residents and their families regarding adaptive equipment and techniques to enhance daily living skills.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for residents.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards while maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents' rights and dignity.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
