Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team at Kingston Healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting independence and improving the quality of life for our residents through the delivery of exceptional occupational therapy services.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for residents.
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, mobility, and functional abilities.
- Conduct and document ongoing assessments of residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide support and education to residents and their families regarding adaptive equipment and techniques to enhance daily living skills.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for residents.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards while maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents' rights and dignity.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
