RADIOLOGY TECH MULTI SPECIALITY

Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. We have been serving residents of Edgar County since 1968 though community education, emergency services, and outpatient care. Position Summary:

The incumbent can perform several tests/exams in the areas of Emergency Room, Outpatient, Surgery with c arms, tomography, X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT scan, portable x­ray equipment, and Mammography.

Essential Functions:

• Conducts requested testing in the Radiology department per the physician's orders.
• Obtains patient's clinical history before beginning any exam.
• Demonstrates competency in collimation, positioning and techniques.
• Evaluates radiographs for technical quality before delivery to the radiologist.
• Monitors the film badge and follows up on exposure level results monthly.
• Must be proficient with several different machines and procedures used for
• radiology testing processes in X-ray, CT scan and Mammography.
• Inspires confidence from patients, visitors, and families by communication in a professional manner always.
• Respects the confidentiality of patient orders and records; uses discretion in discussion of patient health.
• Demonstrates concern for cleanliness and infection control by practicing
• universal controls.
• Must be available for call coverage, rotating shifts and disaster call back.

The responsibilities listed above are not all-inclusive; other activities may be required in support of the hospital's goals and objectives.

Position Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an approved school.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in x-ray and registry eligible in CT, and Mammography.
• State of Illinois licensure through the Department of Nuclear Safety or IEMA.

Hours: Monday- Friday 40hrs per week
