Food and Beverage Manager Position Overview:

Big Woods Restaurant Group is looking for a skilled Food and Beverage Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our food and beverage operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering outstanding service, possess strong leadership skills, and have a keen eye for detail. This role requires someone who can effectively manage a diverse team, maintain high standards of quality, and drive profitability.

Food and Beverage Manager Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue goals and enhance the overall dining experience.

  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and appealing menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.

  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and beverage offerings meet the highest standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.

  • Staff Management: Train, and supervise food and beverage staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to optimize performance.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure adequate supplies are available at all times.

  • Cost Control: Monitor expenses, labor costs, and other financial metrics to maximize profitability without sacrificing quality.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and respond promptly to guest feedback or concerns.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, liquor laws, and company policies at all times.

  • Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and secure the best products at competitive prices.

  • Restaurant Support: Availability to fill in during any management gaps or unforeseen circumstances.

Food and Beverage Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required.

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Food and Beverage Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.

  • Culinary education or experience is a plus.

  • Experience in a multi-unit restaurant group is preferred, but not required.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems.

  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
