We are seeking a new Computer Teacher for middle & high school to join our team. Your role will be to facilitate innovative learning through interest-based project teaching and learning, lead our growing team of dedicated students' success, and promote teacher retention and loyalty.

As a member of the science department, you will work with other teachers and report to Science Department Chair.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Instruct students on facets of Java, Programming with Python, Web Programming (Javascript, PHP, MySQL), Scheme, Scratch Block-based Visual Coding, VEX V5 Programming Platform, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Implement the IB MYP and DP curricula in a pedagogical format consistent with the NGSS Standards
  • Teach students how to write computer programs, algorithms and programming languages.
  • Keep up to date records of students' grades, attend weekly Program/Grade level/Department meetings, and adept at school's Learning Management Systems (Blackbaud, ManageBac, etc.)
  • Create weekly Learning Plans and utilize various curriculum resources.
  • Work with Program Coordinators to ensure school's initiatives, mission statement & goals are consistently implemented.

Starting salary for this position is $50,794.00 per year.
