General Responsibility Statement

The Production Associate II works in the production of feed supplements and nutraceuticals in accordance with company policies, quality assurance certifications and regulatory requirements while maintaining efficiency. Responsible for batching, filling, and packaging of finished products with one or more miscellaneous assigned responsibilities.

Essential Job Responsibilities

The essential job responsibilities consist of the following:

1. Lower Warehouse/Bulk Powder Mixing

a. Batch and mix bulk dry powder formulas and capsule premixes in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

b. Pull pallets of inventoried ingredients and finished goods to and from storage racks using forklift.

c. Fill the powder blends in buckets, bags, drums, and tote.

d. Help to load and unload deliveries.

2. White Room and Capsule Room Production

a. Batch, mix, blend, fill, and package powders, capsules, liquids, gels, ointments, and creams.

b. Track all numbers and quantities of ingredients used in formulating work order.

c. Clean equipment in accordance with company GMPs and log completed entries.

d. Maintain overall cleanliness and efficient organization of the production areas.

3. Inventory Counts and Miscellaneous Assigned Responsibilities

a. Assist as a secondary backup for one or more of the following:

i. Shipping, Receiving, Safety Committee Representative.

b. Assist with inventory counts to assure accuracy of bookkeeping.

ii. Production work order review

c. Conduct other duties and functions as requested by management.

4. Other duties

a. This position shall support its manager and shall ensure that all department members are cross trained in the position responsibilities.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Prior forklift experience a bonus. Openness to becoming forklift certified.
- Experience with Lock-out-tag-out and manufacturing in the animal health sector is a plus.

Education, Reasoning Ability & Experience

- A High School Diploma or GED is required.

- Must have a valid driver’s license.

- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.

- A willingness to become forklift certified is required.

- Experience with Lock-out-tag-out is preferred but not required.

- Experience in manufacturing feed, food, or pharmaceuticals is preferred.

Communication and Language Skills

Physical Requirements:
Engage in tasks that involve lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. Comfortable using a computer, handling paperwork, and grasping objects. May occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particulates.
