Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Communications Specialist with specialized expertise in Zero Trust technology and a proven track record of supporting federal government initiatives. This role will focus on developing and executing strategic communication plans to advocate for, educate about, and drive adoption of Zero Trust principles within government agencies.

Job Responsibilities

· Create comprehensive communication strategies to effectively convey the benefits, principles, and importance of Zero Trust technology within federal government contexts.

· Develop engaging and informative content, including articles, whitepapers, presentations, and infographics, translating complex Zero Trust concepts into easily understandable materials for diverse audiences.

· Cultivate relationships with stakeholders at various levels within government agencies, collaborating to promote Zero Trust initiatives, address concerns, and garner support for adoption.

· Design and conduct training sessions, workshops, and educational seminars to increase awareness and understanding of Zero Trust technology among government personnel.

· Craft compelling messaging and branding strategies to effectively position Zero Trust initiatives, ensuring consistency and alignment with government objectives.

· Lead public relations efforts, including media outreach, press releases, and public speaking engagements to advocate for Zero Trust technology and its benefits within federal government circles.

· Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies, collecting feedback, measuring impact, and adjusting approaches to optimize communication efforts.

Required Skills/Qualifications

· Minimum 10 years + of demonstrated experience as a Strategic Communications Specialist, specifically focusing on cybersecurity or technology initiatives within federal government environments.

· Deep understanding and practical experience in Zero Trust technology, cybersecurity principles, and their application within government systems.

· Proven success in advocating for technology initiatives within federal government agencies, fostering stakeholder buy-in, and driving adoption through strategic communication efforts.

· Proficiency in creating comprehensive communication campaigns to promote Zero Trust technology, outlining clear objectives, target audiences, messaging strategies, and tactics for engagement.

· Experience in media engagement, including drafting press releases, handling media inquiries, and organizing media briefings or interviews to promote Zero Trust initiatives and cybersecurity efforts.

· Strong public speaking skills to represent Zero Trust technology in public forums, conferences, and government events, articulating its importance and benefits to diverse audiences.

· Ability to align communication strategies with organizational goals, ensuring Zero Trust messaging resonates with government priorities, missions, and cybersecurity objectives.

· Strong ability to develop content strategies that convey complex Zero Trust concepts in engaging and digestible formats, utilizing storytelling techniques to illustrate the importance and benefits of Zero Trust technology.

· Proficiency in creating diverse content types such as articles, blog posts, social media content, videos, and visual presentations to communicate Zero Trust principles effectively to diverse government audiences.

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, physics, or related discipline

· Employer will accept years of experience in lieu of a degree.
